Built by a founder, for founders
Roast My Startup was built by Darius Salehipour, a founder, not a faceless company.
It started as a tool for myself. While putting together my own raise, I kept wishing I could get blunt, investor-style feedback on my deck, model, and forecast before I sat across from an actual partner. So I built a small firm of AI analysts to tear my own materials apart, and it turned out to be extremely useful. It caught weak claims, inconsistent numbers, and diligence gaps I’d otherwise have walked into a meeting with. I also instilled the type of feedback we were getting from our advisors directly into this tool, so its analysts pressure-test your materials the way real advisors pressure-tested ours.
It helped enough on my own fundraise that keeping it to myself felt selfish. Other founders are prepping the same decks, the same models, the same data rooms, and most of us only find out what’s broken after an investor passes. Roast My Startup is the pressure-test I wanted: fast, brutally honest, and specific enough to actually fix things.
If it saves you one awkward “we’ll pass” email, it’s done its job.
